A Bright Large AMOLED Screen – The new Mi Band 7 features a 1.62-inch screen which is slightly larger and brighter at 500 nits than the previous version.Â
Long Battery Life – The Mi Band 7 has a bigger battery that offers up to 14 days of battery life which is outstanding for a device so small.
Tons of Sensors – The Mi Band 7 has all the sensors you will ever need and want in a fitness tracker along with notifications for health metrics.
Smart features – The Mi Band 7 has tons of fitness modes with automatic activity detection that make it a good fitness tracker.
Water Resistant – With a 5ATM rating, the Mi Band 7 can be submerged for up to 50 meters in water for up to 10 minutes. Â
Overall, there are few fitness trackers that come close to offering the same specs as the Xiaomi Mi Band 7. And there are no bands that tick all the boxes that Mi Band 7 does in its price category. Easily one of the best fitness trackers you can buy right now.Â
Xiaomi Band 7 Review: Design
The Xiaomi Band 7’s design is almost identical to the Mi Band 5 and Mi Band 6. The body of the Xiaomi Band 7 has the same shape as the Mi band 6, however, the body is slightly larger and heavier this generation.
The display has also increased slightly so, from the front, the Xiaomi Band 7 looks different.Â
The pill-shaped design stays with no physical buttons, crowns, or dials. The underside has a magnetic charger for charging and houses sensors for tracking. The Xiaomi Band 7 is durable and feels great, thanks to the TPU body and strap.
The Xiaomi Band 7 is rated 5ATM for water resistance, which means the smart band can be submerged underwater for up to 50 meters for 10 minutes.Â
The Mi Band 7s bands can be easily replaced. The mechanism is the same as before, pop out the device and replace the band. You can find bands in multiple vibrant colors, my favorites are neon, black, and khaki.
Xiaomi Band 7 Review: Display
The display is an area where the Xiaomi Band 7 improves over the Mi Band 6.
The new model has a larger display which is also brighter, this is a good improvement but nothing groundbreaking.
The 1.62 inch AMOLED touch display is simply stunning, boasting a resolution of 192 x 490 pixels and a pixel density of 326 PPI.
This means that every detail on the screen is crystal clear, making it easy to read even the smallest of texts.
In terms of brightness, the Xiaomi Band 7 doesn’t disappoint either. With a brightness level of up to 500 nits, I can easily view the screen even in bright sunlight.
And if that’s not enough, the brightness is also adjustable to suit my needs, which is a nice touch.
The tempered glass with anti-fingerprint coating is also worth mentioning, as it keeps the screen looking clean and free from smudges, even after multiple uses throughout the day.
This is especially useful for me as I tend to use my Xiaomi Band 7 frequently throughout the day.
Another great feature of the Xiaomi Band 7 is the variety of band faces available.
With over 100 different options to choose from, I can easily switch up the look of my band to match my style or mood.
The band faces are also easy to navigate and customize, making it a breeze to switch between them.

One disappointing aspect is that the Xiaomi Band 7 has no upgrades in the performance department.
While the performance is good, an upgrade would help make things smoother and snappier and get rid of the occasional stutter.Â
The Xiaomi Band 7 still is smooth and responsive. Scrolling through texts and menus is smooth, unlike most other smart bands. You can switch between watch faces in an instant too.
The high precision 6-axis sensor and PPG heart rate sensor have proved to be incredibly accurate and reliable.
The 6-axis sensor is a low power-consumption 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope, which means that it doesn’t drain the battery quickly.
Additionally, it tracks my movements with impressive precision, making it easy to monitor my daily activity and exercise routine. The PPG heart rate sensor, on the other hand, gives me an accurate reading of my heart rate at all times.
The charging time for the Xiaomi Band 7 is also very fast – it takes less than two hours to fully charge. Once fully charged, the typical use time is over 14 days, which is incredibly impressive.
I no longer have to worry about constantly charging my band, and can use it without any interruptions.
The Xiaomi Band 7 has a host of sports and activity tracking capabilities too. With 30+ fitness modes and automatic recognition for 6 fitness modes, I rarely had trouble tracking my fitness activities.
The automatic recognition worked well and got the activity right every single time.

Additionally, the training effect and training load features help me to gauge the intensity and effectiveness of my workouts.

One of the things I really appreciate about the battery is the charging type. The magnetic charging makes it super easy to top up the battery when I need to. I don’t have to fiddle around with cords or plugs – I just attach the charger and it starts charging right away.
Another thing that impressed me is the charging time. Xiaomi claims that the Band 7 can be fully charged in under 2 hours, and I found that to be accurate in my experience. That’s pretty fast for a device with such a long battery life.
Speaking of which, the typical use time of at least 14 days is really impressive. I don’t have to worry about running out of battery during the day, and I can even wear the Band 7 to bed and use it for sleep tracking without having to charge it every night.
