In addition, the X3 Pro has a better camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 20-megapixel front-facing camera, as well as better low-light performance. Lastly, the Poco X3 Pro is priced more affordably compared to the Poco M4 Pro 5G, providing better value for money overall.
Highlights of the Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro 5G
Beautiful Design – I personally loved the sleek design and build of the Poco M4 Pro 5G. It has a large 6.6-inch display and has a big camera housing at the back. The M4 Pro 5G also is quite lightweight and slim making it easy to hold while gaming.
Stereo Speakers – The stereo speakers bring everything to life and it sounds amazing when watching videos or movies. They are guaranteed to deliver an immersive experience regardless of the volume levels.
Solid Battery Life – Equipped with a powerful 5000mAh battery, I found the Poco M4 5G to last upwards of a day on a single charge which is more than enough to run games, movies and handle day to day tasks like a breeze.
Decent Processing Capabilities – One of the main highlights of the Poco M4 Pro is the ability to process tasks like a piece of cake. It’s loaded with a Dimensity 810 5G processor and runs on an ad-free version of MIUI which is pretty decent in my opinion.
The Poco M4 Pro is easily one of the best budget smartphones available in 2023.
It delivers good performance, has a really sleek and premium design and is equipped with a large and powerful battery enough to grant you a full day of use.

Design-wise, the Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro 5G and the Poco X3 Pro share some similarities but also have some notable differences.
Starting with the Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro 5G, the device has a sleek and modern design.
The front of the phone features a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a centered punch-hole camera.
The bezels are slim, especially on the sides, which gives the phone a premium look.
On the back, the phone has a rectangular camera module on the top left corner housing three cameras and an LED flash.
The back panel has a glossy finish and is available in three colors: blue, black, and gray. The phone measures 163.9 x 75.8 x 8.9 mm and weighs 192 grams.
On the other hand, the Poco X3 Pro has a more rugged and aggressive design.
The front of the phone features a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a centered punch-hole camera, similar to the Poco M4 Pro.
However, the X3 Pro has larger bezels, especially on the bottom, where it has a noticeable chin.
The phone has a plastic frame with a metal-like finish, and the back panel is made of polycarbonate with a matte finish.
The back panel features a rectangular camera module on the top left corner housing four cameras and an LED flash. The phone measures 165.3 x 76.8 x 9.4 mm and weighs 215 grams.
One notable difference between the two phones is the placement of the fingerprint scanner.

Unlike some of the other Xiaomi smartphones we’ve reviewed, the Poco M4 has a plastic body which might put some people off, but I personally liked how snug the phone fit in my hands.
There’s ample amount of grip so the phone doesn’t fall or slip.
While the M4 Pro is not waterproof, it does come with IP52 protection that keeps the device safe from dust and light splashes.
Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro 5G vs Poco X3 Pro: Display
The Poco M4 Pro 5G has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a pixel density of 395 PPI.
Meanwhile, the Poco X3 Pro features a slightly smaller 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with the same resolution and pixel density.
The Poco X3 Pro has a higher refresh rate of 120Hz, while the Poco M4 Pro 5G has a standard 60Hz refresh rate.
A higher refresh rate means that the display can refresh images more quickly, resulting in a smoother and more responsive experience, especially when scrolling or gaming.
However, a higher refresh rate can also put more strain on the phone’s battery life.
Both phones have similar levels of brightness, with the Poco M4 Pro 5G reaching a maximum brightness of 450 nits, while the Poco X3 Pro can reach up to 450-500 nits.

The Poco M4 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 810, an octa-core processor that clocks up to 2.4GHz.
On the other hand, the Poco X3 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 860, an octa-core processor that clocks up to 2.96GHz.
Both of these processors are powerful enough to handle high-intensity games, but the Snapdragon 860 has a slight advantage in terms of efficiency, allowing for smoother gameplay and less battery drain.
And, in terms of benchmark scores, the Poco X3 Pro outperforms the Poco M4 Pro 5G, with a score of around 530,000 in Antutu benchmark tests compared to the Poco M4 Pro 5G’s score of around 430,000.

This is likely due to the more power-efficient Snapdragon 860 chipset used in the Poco X3 Pro compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset in the Poco M4 Pro 5G.
Both phones support fast charging, with the Poco X3 Pro supporting faster 33W charging compared to the 18W charging on the Poco M4 Pro 5G.
This means that the Poco X3 Pro can be charged from 0 to 100% in just over an hour, while the Poco M4 Pro 5G takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes to fully charge.
