Xiaomi has packed the Xiaomi NoteBook Air 13 keyboard neatly and the layout and legends look like an HP laptop. When you move around the trackpad, you will certainly like the movement speed and responsiveness. The fingerprint sensor is reliable and quick which is a good sign. You can start the device by pressing it once or pressing the power button first and then registering the fingerprint. However you use it, it is certainly a convenient feature in a laptop and you will like it. Â
Contrastingly, Huawei MateBook 13 has a MacBook-style keyboard and trackpad. It has been structured well and feels solid and good. I prefer the larger trackpad of the MateBook Pro. Even the black keys make it look more aesthetically pleasing.
Overall, the choice comes to personal preference depending on which one you think looks good. Both have good tracking and solid typing experience.
Port Selection
Xiaomi NoteBook Air 13 has an HDMI port, a USB Type-A port, and a headphone jack on one side and on the other side, you find a USB type A and a USB Type-C port. This is a good selection of ports given the size of the laptop.
One good advantage of this model is that you get both HDMI and USB ports as well. In MacBook Air, you will find fewer ports than this. Nevertheless, Xiaomi has done a decent job in this model by giving as many ports that you will find the best use for.Â
Huawei MateBook 13 has a poor port configuration. You get a single USB-A port on the left side and a USB-C and a headphone jack on the right. This is too less and you have to rely on wireless devices or buy a dock. so for this category, I am giving the win to Xiaomi.
