The device has held its price and is still available for 48,999 PHP for the 12/256 GB version. For the price, there are very few phones that can offer the same processor, cameras, and hardware quality.

Xiaomi 12 Pro Philippines Design
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is one of Xiaomi’s most premium phones, it is second to only the newly launched Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Given its price, Xiaomi has justified it by offering one of the best looking phones in my opinion. I love the back with its cool metal triple camera module.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro feels amazing in hand too, its glass back can be slippery for dry hands, but the matte finish makes it feel smooth and premium. It’s just amazing how flagship phones feel so nice. On the sides, the Xiaomi 12 Pro has a slim aluminum frame, which makes the phone feel thin and sleek in hand.
The phone has a USB-C port on the bottom along with a speaker grill and the SIM slot. Unfortunately, there is no SD card support or 3.5mm jack on the Mi 12 Pro like most flagships nowadays.
Apart from that, on the top, you can find another speaker grille along with the Harmon Kardon branding. You can also find the Infrared sensor which is a staple of most Xiaomi phones. The stereo speakers are loud and clear with good stereo separation, all of which make the phone a good entertainment device.
Overall, the design and build quality of the Xiaomi 12 Pro are top-notch. The phone is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus on the front with at least Gorilla Glass 5 on the back (found on Xiaomi 12 too). The phone is fairly large but the thin sides will make it comfortable for most users.
The only negatives are that there is no 3.5mm jack, and no microSD support. And one more big negative is the lack of IP rating at this price. There is not even a basic IP53 rating found on most Xiaomi phones, even budget ones.
If you can look past these three, then you would be happy with the Xiaomi 12 Pro’s design. You can choose the Xiaomi 12 Pro in the Philippines from Blue, Purple, or Gray options, and all of them look great.
Xiaomi 12 Pro Philippines Display
The Xiaomi 12 Pro shines in the display department. The phone has one of the best screens you can feast your eyes on. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a QHD AMOLED screen that supports up to 1 billion colors, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display is sharp and vibrant with a good dynamic range.
Unlike design here Xiaomi cut corners with IP rating, that is not the case with the display on the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The display is bright, curved, and surrounded by thin bezels, it is simply amazing. The panel is even LTPO which means it supports an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, which is great for battery life.
All these come together to offer an experience that is only eclipsed by Samsung’s S22 Ultra. The S22 Ultra is the only phone that is brighter and better than the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and DisplayMate A+ certification.
No matter what you throw at the Xiaomi 12 Pro, it will surely display them well. All your content will look bright, clear, and beautiful. Thanks to the adaptive refresh rate, the display is great for browsing and gaming as well. It is as close to perfect as it gets in today’s world.
Xiaomi 12 Pro Philippines Performance
The Xiaomi 12 Pro launched with the best hardware you could get at the time. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 Storage. While the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 had issues like poor energy efficiency, it was still powerful.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro performed great but throttled after a while even with some beefy cooling solution. The phone also used a lot of battery when hit with sustained loads, more on this later. In any case, the overall experience with the Xiaomi 12 Pro was still great from a performance standpoint.
The RAM, storage, and display are all the best in the business, so day-to-day use with the Xiaomi 12 Pro is excellent as well. The Xiaomi 12 Pro lets you choose from 8/12 GBs of RAM and 256 GBs of storage.
Opening apps, switching between apps, browsing, and camera performance was all snappy. All this was aided by the new MIUI 13 over Android 12 software which was much better than MIUI 12 on Android 11.
Overall, while there are some complaints about sustained performance and efficiency, it has nothing to do with Xiaomi as the problem was Snapdragon. Even then, only a few people will be affected.
Xiaomi 12 Pro Philippines Camera
Before the launch of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, the Xiaomi 12 Pro was Xiaomi’s best camera phone. The Xiaomi 12 Pro features a triple 50MP camera setup. The triple camera setup has a primary wide camera, an ultrawide camera, and a telephoto camera, all of which are high-quality 50MP sensors.
The camera performance of the Xiaomi 12 Pro is great but won’t blow you off because Xiaomi was saving all the amazing stuff for the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. However, the Xiaomi 12 Pro performs well in almost all conditions. Photos taken in low light do suffer from noise and softness, but it is nothing too bad.
The ultrawide and telephoto cameras are not garbage like on some phones (cough cough OnePlus and Realme) in this price category, they perform well for their use cases.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro offers tons of versatility in the video department. The phone can record in 8K, 4K, slow motion, HDR10+, ProFocus, and more. It is impressive how many options you get, though very few will use them all.
And finally, the selfie camera on the Xiaomi 12 Pro is nothing special but definitely gets the job done and is on par with most high-end smartphones. Overall, the Xiaomi 12 Pro offers a competent camera, which when considered at its price makes them even better.
For the price, it is one of the best cameras you can get on a smartphone. Even if not the best, it is the most versatile.
Xiaomi 12 Pro Philippines Battery
Xiaomi phones feature some of the best battery technologies among smartphones. It is truly impressive that they can cram so much battery capacity and powerful charging technologies into thin smartphones.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro also does this, it comes with a 4600 mAh battery which doesn’t sound impressive but it supports 120W HyperCharge. The phone needs less than 20 minutes to charge from 0 to 100% which is just amazing.
And this is one area where the Xiaomi 12 Pro is actually better than Xiaomi’s best, the 12S Ultra. In any case, the Xiaomi 12 Pro has decent battery life but superfast charging which balances things out.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro also has 50W Wireless charging (faster than Samsung and Apple’s best wired charging capability) along with reverse charging at 10W. I love the battery life and the charging performance of the Xiaomi 12 Pro. I love looking at the battery percentage increase in real-time, it’s mesmerizing.
